CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit 1, with St. Louis County to construct natural gas, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water system improvements in CSAH 9 (Woodland Avenue from Anoka Street to Calvary Road and Calvary Road from Woodland Avenue to Arnold Road), S.A.P. 069-609-043, city project no. 0940TR, to be paid from various utility funds as appropriate.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution will authorize an agreement with St. Louis County for construction of natural gas, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water system utility improvements in CSAH 9 (Woodland Avenue from Anoka Street to Calvary Road and Calvary Road from Woodland Avenue to Arnold Road), S.A.P. 069-609-043, city project no. 0940TR.  The city will pay St. Louis County for actual costs, estimated to be $2,610,000, from the appropriate utility funds.

 

Attached for information are the detour routes associated with the three phases of the project.  The city and St. Louis County will be modifying some of the stop control on Kolstad Avenue in order to improve safety and efficiency.  The county is opening bids for the project on April 4, 2019.  Once a contract has been awarded and the contractor’s schedule is known, the county will mail letters to neighborhood residents regarding the project.
