CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an agreement substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A between the city of Duluth and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for utility casting adjustments associated with pavement, pavement marking and associated signal improvements to Garfield Avenue from Nelson Avenue to Superior Street, Railroad Street from Garfield Avenue to Fifth Avenue West, 27th Avenue West from I-35 to Superior Street, and 46th Avenue West from Grand Avenue to I-35 ramps, within the city limits under State Project No. 6982-328 (city project no. 1596) at no cost to the city.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: MnDOT will be performing utility casting adjustments associated with pavement, pavement marking and signal improvements to Garfield Avenue from Nelson Avenue to Superior Street, Railroad Street from Garfield Avenue to Fifth Avenue West, 27th Avenue West from I-35 to Superior Street, and 46th Avenue West from Grand Avenue to I-35 ramps. The city granted municipal consent for the project on January 14, 2019. The project will be 100% funded by MnDOT except for $247,000 in federal funds for the Garfield Avenue portion.
