CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVE, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a first amendment to the professional services agreement (city contract no. 23598) with HKM, P.A., substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit A, increasing the contract amount by $33,286 for a total amount not to exceed $48,286 payable from fund no. 110-110-1104-5304 (General Fund, Legislative & Executive, Attorney, Legal Services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize a first amendment to the professional services agreement with HKM, P.A., to increase the “not to exceed” amount by $33,286 for a total not to exceed amount of $48,286. HKM, P.A. is a law firm retained by the city to provide legal services relating to Levine, Jack, et al. v. 3M et al, Court File No. 62-CV-18-4398, an asbestos litigation matter.
