CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a first amendment to the 2016 amended and restated Lake Superior drug and violent crime task force joint powers agreement; said first amendment to be substantially the same as the attached exhibit A.

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to execute a first amendment to the 2016 Amended and Restated Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Joint Powers Agreement.  This amendment allows the Proctor Police Department and the Minnesota State Patrol to participate on the Task Force.  This task force was established by a joint powers agreement in 1991. Participation by these additional agencies will better enable an area-wide coordinated drug and violent crime enforcement effort.
