RESOLUTION CONCURRING WITH COUNTY AWARD OF THE LESTER RIVER BRIDGE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the requirements of Paragraph 4 of the Lester River Bridge reconstruction cooperative agreement (city contract no. 23595), the city hereby concurs with the award of the Lester River Bridge reconstruction contract to KGM Contractors, Inc., whereas the city’s share of the contract is $90,322.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to formally concur with the award of the construction contract for the Lester River Bridge reconstruction project to KGM Contractors, Inc. for utility improvements in the amount of $90,322.
The Lester River Bridge reconstruction project is a combined project of the city and St. Louis County, pursuant to which the city will repair the water main in the East Superior Street right of way (city project no. 1749), and the county will demolish the street itself, and when the utility work is complete will rehabilitate the bridge and construct a new driving surface. By these joint efforts the city and the county will have completely rehabilitated the bridge and water main. The city’s share is payable out of Water Fund 510.
