RESOLUTION SUPPORTING A NOMINATION FOR THE 2019 LEAGUE OF MINNESOTA CITIES JAMES F. MILLER LEADERSHIP AWARD

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the city council makes the following findings:
(a) The proper city officials are hereby authorized to nominate Keith Hamre, City of Duluth Director of Planning and Economic Development, for the 2019 League of Minnesota Cities James F. Miller Leadership award; and
(b) Keith Hamre, City of Duluth Director of Planning and Economic Development, having served a Minnesota city as an appointed city official during the year preceding the 2019 League of Minnesota Cities James F. Miller Leadership award nomination deadline date of May 6, 2019, is eligible for nomination for said award; and
(c) The city council of the city of Duluth supports and endorses the aforementioned nomination.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution supports and endorses the proper city officials’ nomination of Keith Hamre, City of Duluth Director of Planning and Economic Development, for the 2019 League of Minnesota Cities James F. Miller Leadership award. The nomination and its associated endorsement are made in honor of Keith Hamre’s many years of exemplary service, his outstanding leadership, and his laudable commitment to his colleagues, his community, and the city of Duluth.
