CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of business developer, including a title change to economic developer (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on April 2, 2019, are approved. This classification shall remain subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall remain Range 135, pay rate of $4,877 to $5,675 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This existing classification of business developer has been revised (including a title change to economic developer) to include standard template language and better align with the recent reorganization combining the business & economic development and planning & construction services departments to form one department now called planning & economic development. There is no change in the pay range, which is Range 135, pay rate of $4,877 to $5,675 per month.
