RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPER, INCLUDING A TITLE CHANGE TO SENIOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPER, AND SPECIFYING CONTRACT BENEFITS FOR SAME.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of senior business developer, including a title change to senior economic developer (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on May 7, 2019, are approved.  This classification shall remain subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall remain Range 138, pay rate of $5,540 to $6,572 per month.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The existing classification of senior business developer has been revised (including a title change to senior economic developer) to include standard template language and better align with the recent reorganization combining the business & economic development and planning & construction services departments to form one department now called planning & economic development.  There is no change in the pay range, which is Range 138, pay rate of $5,540 to $6,572 per month.
