CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with TKDA for additional engineering services for City Center West HVAC renovation, for an increase of $12,430, and a new total not to exceed $62,930, payable from 450-030-5520, CP2015-1502b (capital improvements, finance, buildings and structures, 2015 capital projects, city-wide CIP eligible building improvements).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to the agreement with TKDA for additional engineering services for the City Center West HVAC renovation. City Center West is a multi-purpose facility that includes a fire hall, a police substation, a branch library, and a senior center. The new design will separate the existing fire hall HVAC system from the central City Center West HVAC system and redesign the central HVAC system for improved efficiency.
The City has worked with the successful bidder, The Jamar Company, to value engineer savings and efficiencies into this project. TKDA’s additional engineering services are needed to incorporate the changes into the design documents and provide construction administration for the project.
