RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE AND EXECUTION OF A HOST SITE AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY FOR THE 2019-2020 PROGRAM YEAR MINNESOTA GREENCORPS MEMBER AT NO DIRECT COST TO THE CITY

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, the City of Duluth has applied to host an AmeriCorps member from the Minnesota GreenCorps, a program of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA), for the 2019-2020 program year; and
WHEREAS, the MPCA has interviewed the city of Duluth, who is committed to implementing the proposed project as described in the host site application, and in accordance with the pre-scoped position description; and
WHEREAS, the MPCA requires that the city of Duluth enter into a host site agreement with the MPCA that identifies the terms, conditions, roles and responsibilities substantially in the form of Exhibit A.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Duluth hereby agrees to enter into and sign a host site agreement with the MPCA to carry out the member activities specified therein and to comply with all of the terms, conditions, and matching provisions of the host site agreement.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept a GreenCorps member from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) at no direct cost to the city and to execute a grant contract for the purpose of hosting a GreenCorps member for the 2019-2020 program year.

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the acceptance, by proper city officials, of an agreement with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) for the purpose of hosting one GreenCorps member for the 2019-2020 program year. The GreenCorps member will be based in the Property and Facilities Management office.
