RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION TO AND ACCEPTANCE OF A STATE OF MINNESOTA GRANT OF $1,800 FOR ARCHERY EQUIPMENT FOR GROWING PROGRAMMING INITIATIVE.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS, the grant award will be used to purchase archery equipment for growing programming efforts to the community.
WHEREAS, the city of Duluth recognizes that it has secured $1,800 in matching funds from fund 205-130-1219-4220 (Parks Fund, Community Resources, Parks Operating, State of MN).
WHEREAS, the city has authorization to sign the grant agreement substantially in the form of Exhibit A.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the application and acceptance of a $1,800 match grant from the State of Minnesota for the purchase of 10 right handed genesis bows, 2 left handed genesis bows, 5 targets, 10 dozen arrows, backstop net, bowhanger, and repair kit. The archery equipment will be used for programming across the city such as summer camps, classes, and family programming.
