CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVE, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a first amendment to the sub-recipient funding agreement (city contract no. 23473) with SOAR Career Solutions, substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit A, increasing the contract amount by $8,864 for a total amount not to exceed $61,379, extending the term of the agreement and amending the work plan and budget.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize a first amendment to a sub-recipient funding agreement between SOAR Career Solutions and the City of Duluth allocating an additional $8,864 to SOAR. In addition, the original work plan is modified to transition from outreach and tours aimed at connecting women to apprenticeship opportunities, to a cohort based model that will provide more intensive hands-on exposure to the building and construction trades combined with one-on-one management support. The term of the agreement is also extended until September 30, 2019.
