CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with PCi Roads, LLC for the 2019 Street Preservation project in the amount of $1,734,561.45, payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1691, S.A.P. 118-153-004 and 118-191-002.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the 2019 Street Preservation project by PCi Roads, LLC in the amount of $1,734,561.45. PCi Roads, LLC was the only bidder that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $1,340,048. This was the second bid for this project, as no responses were received for the initial bid in May, and it is not anticipated that prices will be lower if the project is rebid again. Contractors are committed to existing projects and this results in higher bid prices. The cost differences between the engineer’s estimate and the bid prices are due to mobilization, traffic control and concrete pavement costs. Payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1691, S.A.P. 118-153-004 and 118-191-002, requisition no. 19-99384.
