RESOLUTION OF INTENT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION TO SERVE LOTS 148, 150, 152, 154, 156, 157, 158, 159, & 160, BLOCK 106 AND LOTS 155, 157, & 159, BLOCK 140, ALL IN DULUTH PROPER THIRD DIVISION, AND TO ASSESS THE COSTS THEREOF.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 62 of the City Charter, the city council hereby expresses its intent to cause the construction of a sanitary sewer extension along the existing utility easement between West Ninth Street and West Eighth Street, as well as along the unimproved Tenth Avenue West right of way, and hereby requests that the mayor prepare or cause to have prepared plans, specifications and estimates therefor, and to file such plans and estimates with the special assessment board, together with a recommendation as to what portion of the costs should be paid by special assessment, the number of installments in which assessments may be paid, and the properties which should include the special assessment. The sewer extension will serve the following properties:
912 West Ninth Street - LOTS 148 AND 150, BLOCK 106, DULUTH PROPER THIRD DIVISION
916 West Ninth Street - LOTS 152, 154 AND 156 BLOCK 106, DULUTH PROPER THIRD DIVISION
929 West Ninth Street - LOTS 155, 157 AND 159, BLOCK 140, and LOTS 157, 158, 159, AND 160, BLOCK 106 DULUTH PROPER THIRD DIVISION
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution begins the formal process of making assessable improvements for construction of a sanitary sewer extension to serve 912, 916, and 929 W 9th Street, as well as two unimproved lots. The extension of the sanitary sewer benefits each property by providing the ability to have a direct connection to the city sanitary sewer main. See attached location map.
