AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF A NON-EXCLUSIVE EASEMENT TO MARINE IRON & SHIP BUILDING COMPANY FOR AUTOMOBILE PARKING AND SIGNAGE PURPOSES OVER REAL PROPERTY IN CANAL PARK.

CITY PROPOSAL:

The city of Duluth does ordain:

 

Section 1.  That the proper city officials are hereby authorized to convey a non-exclusive easement to Marine Iron & Ship Building Company for automobile parking and signage purposes over the real property legally described on Exhibit A to the attached Exhibit 1, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit 1, and execute all other documents necessary to effectuate the conveyance of the parking easement. 

 

Section 2.  That this ordinance shall take effect 30 days after its passage and publication.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This ordinance authorizes the conveyance of a non-exclusive easement to Marine Iron & Ship Building Company for automobile parking and signage purposes over property adjacent to the Red Lobster property in Canal Park.  The easement to be conveyed is outlined in blue on the attached Exhibit 2.

 

The conveyance of this easement is the result of a settlement agreement between the parties authorized under Resolution No. 19-0514.
