RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A MONTH-TO-MONTH LEASE AGREEMENT WITH ARROWHEAD ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY AGENCY FOR USE OF SPACE IN THE CENTRAL HILLSIDE COMMUNITY CENTER.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into and execute a month-to-month lease agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit 1, with the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (“AEOA”) for the exclusive use of certain space in the Central Hillside Community Center for AEOA’s program and services.  Rent payments shall be deposited to Fund 110-121-1222-4622 (General Fund, Public Administration, Facilities Management, Rent of Buildings).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes the city to enter into a month-to-month lease agreement with the Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency (“AEOA”) for the exclusive use for two rooms in the Central Hillside Community Center totaling 310 square feet.  AEOA is a non-profit corporation whose missions is to strengthen communities by providing opportunities for people experiencing social and economic challenges.  AEOA operates programs and services regarding energy assistance, weatherization assistance, conservation improvement, and arrowhead weather.

 

AEOA has leased space in the Central Hillside Community Center for a number of years.  For consideration of the lease agreement, AEOA will pay the city monthly rent of $149.53.  Either party may terminate the lease agreement upon 30 days’ written notice.
