RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM THE STATE OF MINNESOTA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FOR REAL PROPERTY FOR HIGHWAY PURPOSES, AT NO COST TO THE CITY.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept the conveyance of real property legally described on the quit claim deed attached as Exhibit A from the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation, for highway purposes, at no cost to the city.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the conveyance of the real property from the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to accept the conveyance of certain real property from the State of Minnesota, Department of Transportation (“MnDOT”), for highway purposes. The acceptance of the real property and subsequent filing of this resolution and the quit claim deed will effectuate the conveyance of property from the State of Minnesota to the City of Duluth (“City”).
The property conveyed is generally described in the areas below:
• Second Street east of 6th Ave. West (behind the St. Louis County Courthouse)
• London Road east of 14th Ave. East and west of 26th Ave. East
• 6th Ave. East between 9th Street and 4th Ave. East (the road curves)
• Central Entrance between 4th Ave. East and E. 6th Street
• NW corner of East 2nd Street and 6th Ave. East
