CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a first amendment to the professional services agreement (city contract no. 23507) with Madden, Galanter, Hansen, LLP, substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit A, extending the term of the agreement to December 31, 2021 and increasing the contract amount by $20,000 for a total amount not to exceed $60,000 payable from fund no. 110-110-1104-5304 (General Fund, Legislative & Executive, Attorney, Legal Services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize a first amendment to the professional services agreement with Madden, Galanter, Hansen, LLP, to extend the term of the agreement to December 31, 2021, and increase the “not to exceed” amount by $20,000 for a total not to exceed amount of $60,000. Madden, Galanter, Hansen, LLP. is a law firm retained by the city to provide legal services relating to City of Duluth v. Duluth Police Union, Local 807, Minnesota Bureau of Mediation Services Case no. 18-PA-0250, District Court File No. 69DU-CV-18-1705, Appellate Case No. A19-0404, an employment arbitration matter.
