CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with United Piping, Inc. for the Lower Michigan Street Gas Main Relocation project in the amount of $886,749.50, payable out of Gas Utility Fund 520, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital), Object 5533 (Capital Improvement - Revenue). This work is being done as part of the Minnesota Department of Transportation’s Twin Ports Interchange project, and MnDOT will fully reimburse the city for all costs associated with the gas main relocation.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the Lower Michigan Street Gas Main Replacement project by United Piping, Inc. in the amount of $886,749.50. United Piping, Inc. was the only bidder to respond. Payable from Gas Utility Fund 520, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital), Object 5533 (Capital Improvement - Revenue), city project no. 1822, requisition no. 19-99562, with project costs to be reimbursed by MnDOT.
