CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of workforce development technician I (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on September 3, 2019, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 130, pay rate of $4,115 to $4,831 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The new classification of workforce development technician I has been created to support clients in pursuing their career goals by recruiting, enrolling, and evaluating performance in workforce development programs, determining program eligibility, providing instruction and information about employment strategies, and utilizing existing resources. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 130, pay rate of $4,115 to $4,831 per month.
