CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of budget & grant analyst (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on October 1, 2019, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 134, pay rate of $4,831 to $5,706 per month.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The new classification of budget & operations analyst has been created to combine responsibilities of the budget & operations analyst and the grant coordinator positions due to the required collaboration and overlap in duties to ensure grant requirements/compliance. Combining these duties will allow the city to be proactive financially in situations where grants are not renewed and may leave a gap in the budget. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 134, pay rate of $4,831 to $5,706 per month.
