RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE, OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $11,804.60 AND REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $11,804.60 FOR THE PURCHASE OF BALLISTIC VESTS.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept ballistic vest reimbursements from the United States department of justice, bureau of justice assistance, office of justice programs, in an amount not to exceed $11,804.60 to be deposited in Fund 110-160-1610-4209-02 (General Fund, Police Department, Administration & Investigation, Federal Operating Grants), per the attached Exhibit A.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept ballistic vest reimbursements from the Minnesota department of public safety in an amount not to exceed $11,804.60 to be deposited in Fund 110-160-1610-4220-02 (General Fund Police Department, Administration & Investigation, Minnesota Operating Grants), per the attached Exhibit A.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to accept additional money for reimbursement of Police Department ballistic vest purchases in an amount not exceed $11,804.60 from the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs. This resolution also authorizes the city to accept reimbursement not to exceed $11,804.60 from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety for the reimbursement of Police Department ballistic vest purchases.
