RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF DULUTH, MINNESOTA, FOR REAL PROPERTY IN THE LINCOLN PARK NEIGHBORHOOD, AT NO COST TO THE CITY.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept the conveyance of real property from The Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Duluth, Minnesota (the “HRA”) legally described below (the “Property”), at no cost to the city:

 

Lot 266, Block 58, except South 100 feet measured on the Center line and also Lots 268 and 270, Block 58, DULUTH PROPER SECOND DIVISION, St. Louis County, Minnesota

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to effectuate the conveyance of the Property from the HRA.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The purpose of this resolution is to accept the conveyance of certain real property from the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Duluth, Minnesota (the “HRA”) for property near the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and W. First Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.  The acceptance of the real property and subsequent filing of this resolution and the quit claim deed will effectuate the conveyance of property from the HRA to the City.

 

An aerial image of the property is outlined in red on Exhibit A.  The property has been informally used by the public for bouldering, a type of rock climbing.
