RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MCCARTHY & BARNES, PLC, TO PROVIDE LEGAL SERVICES FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $50,000.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a professional services agreement with McCarthy & Barnes, PLC, substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit A, for a total amount not to exceed $50,000 payable from fund no. 605-036-1650-5304 (self insurance, insurance accounts, administration, legal services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize a professional services agreement with McCarthy & Barnes, PLC, for legal services. McCarthy & Barnes, PLC, is a law firm retained by the city to provide legal services relating to defending worker’s compensation claims against the city.
