CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a three-year agreement with Boys and Girls Club of the Northland to provide outside of school time youth programming in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, with payment of $15,000 per year made from 205-130-1219-5310 (Parks, Community Resources, Parks Operating, Contract Services).

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes a three-year agreement for professional services with Boys and Girls Club of the Northland for outside of school youth programming in the city’s Lincoln Park neighborhood at their location at 102 South 29th Avenue West. The agreement can be terminated by either party upon ninety days’ notice. Under the terms of this agreement, Boys and Girls Club of the Northland will facilitate programming which will provide a safe and structured environment for youth in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The program will provide youth with educational opportunities, development of health and life skills, positive adult role model interaction, and recreation activities. Funds for this agreement are made available from the Parks Fund.
