CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a three-year agreement with Duluth Area Family YMCA to provide outside of school time youth programming at the city’s Gary New Duluth Community Center, substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, with payments of $15,000 per year made from 205-130-1219-5310 (Parks, Community Resources, Parks Operating, Contract Services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a three-year agreement for professional services with Duluth Area Family YMCA for outside of school youth programming at the city’s Gary New Duluth Community Center. The agreement can be terminated by either party upon ninety days’ notice. Under the terms of this agreement, Duluth Area Family YMCA will facilitate programming which will provide a safe and structured environment for youth in the far western Duluth neighborhood. The program will provide youth with educational opportunities, development of health and life skills, positive adult role model interaction, and recreation activities. Funds for this agreement are made available from the Parks Fund.
