RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA DULUTH FOR THE CONTINUED PROMOTION OF GLENSHEEN MANSION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,000.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS; the city council approved $50,000 as an operating subsidy to the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) for Glensheen Mansion in resolution 19-0743R passed on November 12, 2019 that appropriated the estimated 2020 hotel-motel and food and beverage tourism taxes.
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form of that attached as Exhibit A, with UMD for the continued promotion of programs, exhibits and events at Glensheen Mansion, in the amount of $50,000, payable from 258-030-5436-13; (Tourism Taxes, Finance, Tourism Tax Allocation - Glensheen).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with UMD for 2020 for the continued promotion of Glensheen Mansion programs, exhibits, and events in the amount of $50,000. This agreement is funded by tourism tax collections.
