RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE DULUTH AREA FAMILY YMCA FOR 2020 IN THE AMOUNT OF $75,000 FOR WATER SAFETY INVESTMENTS ALONG PARK POINT.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS; the city council approved $75,000 as an operating subsidy for the Duluth Area Family YMCA in resolution 19-0743R passed on November 12, 2019 that appropriated the estimated 2020 hotel-motel and food and beverage tourism taxes.
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form of that attached as Exhibit A, with the Duluth Area Family YMCA in an amount not to exceed $75,000, payable from 258-030-5436 (Tourism Taxes Fund, Finance, Tourism Tax Allocations).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with the Duluth Area Family YMCA for 2020 for water safety investments, including extended life guard service hours and water condition alert flags and signage. This agreement is funded by tourism tax collections.
