RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A SUBGRANT AGREEMENT WITH ECOLIBRIUM3 ACCEPTING $50,000 IN GRANT FUNDING FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT IN LINCOLN PARK.

Body

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a subgrant agreement with Ecolibrium3, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, which allows the city to accept $50,000 in grant funding for the purchase and installation of playground equipment in Lincoln Park, funds to be deposited into fund no. 452-030-4270 (tourism & recreational projects-finance-other grants).

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution approves a subgrant agreement with Ecolibrium3 for the purchase and installation of playground equipment in Lincoln Park.  The Lincoln Park Mini Master Plan was completed and approved by the city council in 2016 and included plans to replace the existing playground with a playground designed with enhanced accessible play features.  As a community partner, Ecolibrium3 applied for and received a $50,000 U.S. Bank Places to Play grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation.  Pursuant to this subgrant agreement, the city will utilize the grant funds to purchase and install the playground equipment by November 1, 2020.
