RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ASSESSABLE STREET AND SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS TO TECHNOLOGY DRIVE AND ASSOCIATED CITY SHARE DUE TO THE RECONSTRUCTION OF CSAH 4 (RICE LAKE ROAD) IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $480,000.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit 1 with St. Louis County to construct assessable street and sidewalk improvements in Technology Drive, signal improvements, and sidewalk construction along Arrowhead Road associated with the improvement of CSAH 4 (Rice Lake Road), S.A.P. 069-604-078, city project no. PI2019-1758.  Of these costs, $150,000 will be paid from Municipal State Aid funds, $60,000 from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, $120,000 from Street Light Utility Fund 550, and $150,000 from Special Assessment Fund 410.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution will authorize an agreement with St. Louis County for construction of street and sidewalk improvements in Technology Drive and Arrowhead Road adjacent to CSAH 4 (Rice Lake Road), S.A.P. 069-604-078, city project no. PI2019-1758.  The city will pay St. Louis County for actual bid costs, estimated to be $480,000.  The working fund will be Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings).  The three benefitting property owners on Technology Drive have agreed to pay the special assessment costs over a period of not more than 15 years.
