RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A DONATION AGREEMENT WITH MINNESOTA POWER ALLOWING THE CITY TO ACCEPT AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATION TO BE LOCATED IN THE MEDICAL DISTRICT PARKING RAMP AND REIMBURSEMENT OF A PORTION OF THE INSTALLATION COSTS.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a donation agreement with Minnesota Power, an operating division of Allete, Inc., substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, which allows the city to accept the donation of an electric vehicle charging station to be located in the Medical District Parking Ramp and reimbursement of 80 percent of the installation cost, up to $1,500, said funds to be deposited into Fund No. 257 (Energy Management), Agency 015 (Public Administration), Object 4654-02 (Other Reimbursements Refunds).
FURTHER RESOLVED, that on behalf of the city of Duluth, the city council expresses its sincere thanks and gratitude to Minnesota Power for its generous donation.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution approves a donation agreement with Minnesota Power, an operating division of Allete, Inc., which allows the city to accept the donation of an electric vehicle charging station to be located in the Medical District Parking Ramp located at 302 East First Street, and reimbursement of 80 percent of the installation cost, up to $1,500.
