CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Redstone Construction, LLC for the Fairmont Street bridge replacement project in the amount of $1,061,688, payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1234, S.A.P. 118-080-059.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the award of a contract for the replacement of two failing steel culverts with a new bridge over Tischer Creek on Fairmont Street, and reconstruction of the roadway from the bridge to Woodland Avenue, by Redstone Construction, LLC. Redstone Construction was the lowest responsible bidder of the two companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate for this project was $822,081.60. Payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), to be partially reimbursed by state bridge bond funds, city project no. 1234, S.A.P. 118-080-059, requisition no. 20-99195.
