CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to contract with Tenvoorde Motor Co. for the purchase of nine (9) 2020 Ford Interceptors in the amount of $313,928.04, payable from 250-015-2020-5580, CE250-V2003 (Capital Equipment, Public Administration, Fiscal Year 2020, Capital Equipment; Capital Equipment Fund 250, Police Vehicles).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of nine 2020 Ford Utility Police Interceptors at a cost of $313,928.04.
A 2014-2015 Fleet study found that City vehicle maintenance costs are reduced when units of this type are traded in, repurposed, or auctioned between 5 and 8 years or 100,000 miles. This purchase will allow replacement of nine retired marked police vehicles.
This purchase is against Minnesota State Contract 158505, Release A-174(5).
