Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution finalizes the 2020 ESG Program portion of the Community Development program. The city budgeted $208,704 for the FY 2020 HUD award to the ESG program in Resolution 20-0076R. The federal Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) officially notified the city of the FY 2020 ESG allocation on February 18, 2020 for the program year that runs from April 1, 2020 through March 31, 2021. The award letter from HUD awarded $208,704 to the ESG program, which is an increase of $8,060 from the anticipated amount. The community development committee considered the revised award from HUD at its meeting on May 05, 2020 and finalized their recommendation. A public hearing was held at the May 05th meeting and a 30-day comment period was held from April 05, 2020 - May 04, 2020 on the revised recommended amounts.
