Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an electronic recording agreement with St. Louis County, Minnesota, for the electronic transmission of real property documents, at no cost to the city.  City will only be responsible to pay the applicable filing fee, which is typically $46 per document, as more further described on Attachment D to the attached Exhibit 1.  The filing fees for electronic submission remain the same as filing paper originals of the documents.  The execution of this agreement will allow for the submission of real property documents in lieu of physically going to the Court House and delivering the documents in person.  The documents to be filed electronically are required to be fully executed and notarized before submission.
