RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A $15,768 GRANT FROM THE DULUTH LEGACY ENDOWMENT FUND.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept a $15,768 grant from the Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund, with said funds to be deposited as follows:

 

1.                     Parks Maintenance Division - City of Duluth- Keep Duluth Clean Events: $2,750 fund 205-130-1221-4270-CM205-PKMTCE-DSACF.

 

2.                     Parks and Recreation Division - Hartley Nature Center- Ski Equipment Upgrades/Ski-Free Program: $2,000 fund 205-130-1219-2470-CM205-PRGRMG-DSACF.

 

3.                     Parks and Recreation Division-City of Duluth-Parks and Recreation Equipment: $1,750 fund 205-130-1220-4270-CM205-PRGRMG-DSACF.

 

4.                     Parks and Recreation Division- Clayton Jackson McGhie Memorial, Inc. - Community Remembrance Monument: $3,000 fund 205-130-1219-4270-CM205-PRGRMG-DSACF.

 

5.                     Parks and Recreation Division- YMCA of Duluth- Play, Observe, Reflect Pop-up Play: $5,000 fund 205-130-1219-4270-CM205-PRGRMG-DSACF.

 

6.                     Mayor’s Office - Duluth Art Institute - Our Neighbors: $1,268 fund 110-132-1301-4660.

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute a grant agreement with Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation, in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, for the specified grant purposes.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to execute a

grant agreement with the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation and accept a $15,768

grant from the Duluth Legacy Endowment Fund. Grant proposals funded by the Duluth Legacy

Endowment Fund were evaluated internally before authorization was provided for submittal of

applications. Grant proposals were then recommended by the funds’ Advisory Board before

taken to the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation, whom makes final funding awards.

 

Grant funds will support the work of the Parks and Recreation Division, Park Maintenance

Division and the Mayor’s Office.
