CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept a grant award from the Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, in the total amount of $115,217.00, and further are authorized to execute a grant agreement substantially the same as the attached Document A for the project “City of Duluth Response to COVID-19”, funds to be deposited in Fund No. 225-125-1819-4209-02 (Direct Federal Grants Operating, Project COVID19).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to accept a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $115,217.00 to support a broad range of activities to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus. Funds may be used for items such as overtime, equipment, supplies, training, and travel. The period of the grant award is from January 1, 2020 through January 31, 2022.
