CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that agreement no. 1034938 (city agreement no. 23739) with the Minnesota Department of Transportation for gas main relocations along Lower Michigan Street be amended in the amount of $35,410.50 for a new total of $1,110,757, payable from Gas Utility Fund 520, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital), Object 5533 (Capital Improvement - Revenue). This work is being done as part of MnDOT’s Twin Ports Interchange project, and MnDOT will fully reimburse the city for all costs associated with the gas main relocation.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution amends agreement no. 1034938 with MnDOT by $35,410.50. The amendment is attached hereto as Exhibit A. The state and the city of Duluth entered into this agreement for the relocation of gas mains and associated fixtures along Lower Michigan Street as part of MnDOT’s Twin Ports Interchange project, with MnDOT to fully reimburse the city for all costs associated with the gas main relocation. The city has let a contract for the work. The contract amount exceeds the amount in the original agreement. Both parties are willing to amend the original agreement.
