CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept a fifty-percent reimbursement safety grant from the state of Minnesota department of labor and industry MNOSHA workplace safety consultation unit. $2,360.87 of funds to be deposited in Fund No. 605-036-1651-4220-02 (self insurance - insurance accounts - general city - state of Minnesota operating); $2,360.87 of funds to be deposited in Fund No. 110-160-1610-4220-02 (general city - police - administration and investigations - state of Minnesota operating).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to accept a reimbursement grant (contract attached as Exhibit A) from the Minnesota department of labor and industry MNOSHA workplace safety consultation unit for the city of Duluth police department. The city will spend approximately $9,443.48 on duty belt suspenders, and MNOSHA will reimburse the city at a fifty-percent rate ($4,721.74). The ergonomic design of the duty belt suspenders will aid in the prevention of employee back injuries.
