CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of street maintenance laborer (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on July 7, 2020, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 23, pay rate of $3,496 to $4,081 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The new classification of street maintenance laborer has been created to more accurately describe the work performed by entry-level positions in the street maintenance division, as well as help attract and retain candidates. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 23, pay rate of $3,496 to $4,081 per month.
