STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes a three-year agreement for the purchase and maintenance of enterprise wide software licensing and maintenance in the amount of $168,033.19 annually.

This agreement covers the maintenance of all Microsoft licenses including Windows Desktop, Office Suite, User Access, Remote Access, Windows Servers, Online email services, Office Online (O365), SQL Database Servers, System Center Management, Visual Studio, Project and Visio for the City with the exclusion of the Duluth Public Library since they utilize an education agreement.   By continuing the participation in an Enterprise Agreement, the City preserves security measures by maintaining a single software platform and staying current with supported software releases, as well as enterprise level services for management, encryption, and anti-malware products.   This agreement is critical to ensure effective and efficient communications amongst the many City departments and allows for seamless integration with the other enterprise level applications in use by the various City departments.
