RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A $2,000 GRANT FROM THE LLOYD K. JOHNSON FOUNDATION SUPPORTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE KEEP DULUTH CLEAN INITIATIVE

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept a $2,000 grant from the Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation to support efforts related to the Keep Duluth Clean initiative, with said funds to be deposited to fund 110-110-1103-4654 (general fund, legislative and executive, chief administrative officer, other reimbursements).
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute a grant agreement with Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation, in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, for the specified grant purposes that includes funding for clean-up kits.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to execute a grant agreement with the Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation and accept a $2,000 grant in support of the Keep Duluth Clean initiative. Grant proposals funded by the Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation were evaluated internally before authorization was provided for submittal of the application. Grant funds will support the work of the Office of Sustainability, Park Maintenance, the Keep Duluth Clean committee and the Mayor’s Office.
