CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with RW Fern Associates, Inc. for additional mechanical and electrical engineering services for remaining phases of the City Hall renovation, for an increase of $25,500, and a new total not to exceed $162,800, payable from fund 450-030-5520-CP2020-2002B (capital improvements; finance; buildings and structures; 2020 capital improvement projects; city hall)
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to the agreement with RW Fern Associates, Inc. for additional mechanical and electrical engineering services for remaining phases of the City Hall renovation.
The additional services will include mechanical and electrical design by Gausman & Moore (sub for RW Fern) for the 3rd floor HR phase and revisions to the A/C and ventilation systems for the 4th and ground floors. RW Fern’s contract did not originally include mechanical/electrical design for the 3rd floor HR phase, which is now part of this project since it was cut from the previous remodel.
RW Fern’s proposal for this amendment is attached in Exhibit A.
