CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with JMF Construction Inc. for the repair of seven manholes for Duluth Energy Systems for an amount not to exceed $260,000, payable from fund 540-920-1499-5530 (Steam; Steam Department; Steam Non-Operating; Improvements Other Than Buildings).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with JMF Construction Inc. for the repair of seven manholes for Duluth Energy Systems on a time and materials basis for an amount not to exceed $260,000.
This project is for the repair of steam system manholes that are failing or require maintenance. Purchasing issued an Invitation for Bids on January 11, 2021 and received 4 responsive bids. The bid received from JMF Construction was the lowest responsive bid.
