RESOLUTION ORDERING IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF RIVERWEST DRIVE (FORMERLY KNOWN AS KAYAK BAY ROAD) INCLUDING UTILITIES AND SIGNAL SYSTEM AT GRAND AVENUE, BEGINNING AT GRAND AVENUE AND EXTENDING SOUTHERLY APPROXIMATELY 1,000 FEET AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF $2,957,000 AND THE LOWERING OF AN ADJACENT GAS MAIN AT A COST OF $182,565.09.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that it is deemed necessary for public convenience and safety and it is hereby ordered that the following projects be constructed:
Project No. 1403 Riverwest Drive Project (estimate $2,957,000)
Project No. 1805 Riverwest Drive Gas Main Lowering Project (estimate $182,565.09)
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said work for the construction of Riverwest Drive be done by contract and the estimated cost of the project as estimated by the city engineer is $2,957,000, payable from Special Assessment fund 410, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1403. The funding sources for this project will be as follows: St. Louis County funds - $900,000; MnDOT TED Grant; and City 550 funds of approximately $357,000; and the cost of the Project in excess of $1,257,000 shall be assessed to:
Block 1, Lot 1
Block 1, Lot 2
Block 2, Lot 1
Block 3, Lot 1
Block 4, Lot 1
Block 4, Lot 2
Block 5, Lot 1
Kayak Bay Plat, as detailed in the Riverwest Drive Assessment Agreement.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that said work for the construction of the Gas Main Lowering was done by contract and the cost of the project was $182,565.09, payable from the Special Assessment fund 410, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1805. The funding sources for this project will be as follows: $94,937.84 paid by the City and $87,631.25 assessed to Lot 2, Block 1 and Lot 1, Block 2 as shown on the Kayak Bay plat, formerly described as Lots 1 through 24, Block 10 and Lots 1 through 21, Block 12, all in Ironton First ...
