RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE NEW CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF FLEET SERVICES INVENTORY TECHNICIAN II, AND SPECIFYING CONTRACT BENEFITS FOR SAME.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of fleet services inventory technician II (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on January 20, 2021, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 27, pay rate of $4,081 to $4,776 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Fleet services is undergoing restructuring of their current operations, and in doing so, the current classifications were reviewed by the employees, management, and human resources. The new classification of fleet services inventory technician II is a result of review of the outdated storekeeper classification. This position will be housed fleet services. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 27, pay rate of $4,081 to $4,776 per month.
