RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE NEW CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF ASSET & SUPPLY SPECIALIST, AND SPECIFYING CONTRACT BENEFITS FOR SAME.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of asset & supply specialist (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on January 20, 2021, are approved. This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 30, pay rate of $4,587 to $5,426 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The new classification of asset & supply specialist has been created to align with the restructuring of fleet services. This new classification will guide and assist with the requisition and acquisition of parts and supplies within the fleet shop. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 30, pay rate of $4,587 to $5,426 per month.
