CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of opioid program specialist (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on January 20, 2021, are approved.  This classification shall be subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 29, pay rate of $4,413 to $5,184 per month.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The new classification of opioid program specialist has been created to add an additional resource to the police department to address the ongoing opioid pandemic. This classification would perform case management, community outreach and serve as a lead to the opioid technicians.  The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 29, pay rate of $4,413 to $5,184 per month.
