CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of parks & grounds maintenance supervisor (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on March 24, 2021, are approved. This classification shall remain subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its supervisory unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall change to Range 1080-1095, pay rate of $5,899 to $7,721 per month, from Range 1075-1090, pay rate of $5,750 to $7,551 per month.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The existing classification of parks & grounds maintenance supervisor has been revised to reflect additional duties and responsibilities assigned as a result of park referendums, capital construction project approvals, and added focus on building maintenance and safety in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This classification is responsible for overall coordination, supervision, planning, operation, and routine capital maintenance in city parks and/or on city property. The pay range negotiated for this classification is Range 1080-1095, pay rate of $5,899 to $7,721 per month. This is a change from Range 1075-1090, pay rate of $5,750 to $7,551 per month.
