CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to enter into Cooperative Construction Agreement No.1046012, attached hereto as Exhibit A, between the City of Duluth and the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT), providing for payment by the State to the City for the State’s share of the costs of the signal system and ADA improvements construction to be performed upon, along and adjacent to Trunk Highway No. 23 (Grand Ave) at Riverwest Drive and upon, along, and adjacent to Riverwest Drive from Trunk Highway No. 23 (Grand Ave) to A terminus at BNSF Rail Line within the corporate City limits under state project number 6910-112 (T.H. 23=185) and City project No. 1403 pursuant to which MnDOT agrees to reimburse the city for up to 70% of the cost associated with the work, not to exceed $247,000, using State Trunk Highway Funds through the Transportation Economic Development (TED) program, said funds payable to Public Utility Street Light Fund 550, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1900 (Public Works Director’s Office), Object 4700 (Other Sources).

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with MnDOT to reimburse up to 70% of the costs, not to exceed $247,000, to construct a signal system and ADA improvements at the intersection of Riverwest Drive and Trunk Highway No. 23 (Grand Ave) City project No. 1403.
